Annual Meeting

Each year, South River EMC is pleased to offer an opportunity to all member-owners of the Cooperative to gather for fellowship and to hear of the business of their Cooperative. This event is the Annual Meeting of Members, which was held on April 15, 2010 at the Crown Arena and Theatre in Fayetteville.

Entertainment

Entertainment was provided by The Fantastic Shakers. Known as the "South's Finest Show Band," they have performed over 6,000 engagements and reserved numerous award from various beach music award associations.

Bazaar

We had an array of vendors on hand to speak with you about their products and services. This year's bazaar had almost 60 booth laid out to talk to South River EMC members. Members were also introduced to the Cooperative Owners for Political Action program, or COPA, during the bazaar, as well as in the business meeting.

Kids' Korner

We aim to make the children’s entertainment better each year! The Kids’ Korner offers a safe, secure, fun place for you to leave your children (4 to 12-years-old) while you enjoy the meeting. We have inflatable rides for the children. Each child receives a goody bag at the end of the night.

Prizes

Of course, there will be no shortage of door prizes. The grand prize was a used 2001 GMC pickup truck. Also, a goody bag is offered to all registered members. Bags include a pack of compact fluorescent lamps, or CFLS, and each registered member received $10 off their next electric bill.
