The Bright Ideas Early Bird Deadline Is Swiftly Approaching

It’s hard to believe, but school will be starting before you know it and South River EMC wants to make sure teachers are aware that Bright Ideas grant applications are still available.

The Bright Ideas grant program helps to fund innovative, classroom based ideas for today’s students. If you have a great idea to reach your students in a different way, a Bright Ideas grant could help.

For the 2017-2018 school year the Cooperative is offering grants for up to $2,500 for innovative classroom based ideas. With expectations to award $50,000 for classroom projects and materials, South River EMC will reach $1 million in funding through Bright Ideas this year.

We are swiftly approaching the early bird deadline of August 15. Any educators with applications submitted to ncbrightideas.com before this date will be eligible to win one of five $100 Visa gift cards.

If your idea isn’t quite ready yet, you have until September 18 to submit it online at www.ncbrightideas.com. Join a growing number of teachers who are bringing smiles to their students’ faces when it comes to new lessons. The process involves completing an application online that consists of six sections beside the budget portion.

You don’t have to complete your application in one sitting, you can save it and return to it later. It always helps to have another set of eyes look over your grant before it’s submitted. Please make sure your principal is aware of your grant idea.

Statewide, cooperatives annually fund over $530,000 in grants. Thus far, the Bright Ideas Grant program has funded $10.9 million in grants and has touched the lives of over 2.1 million North Carolina students.

It’s time to visit www.ncbrightideas.com and get that great classroom idea out there for others and your students to see! Please remember, grants submitted to South River EMC must be done so through the Bright Ideas web site.
