The following is a list of upcoming events hosted by Clark Park Nature Center:

Growing Up Wild Series:  Tracks
Join a park ranger at Clark Park Nature Center as we explore animal track.  We will be making and comparing different animal tracks through this hands-on experience.  Pre-registration is required.  3-7 yrs.; Jan. 26; 1-2 pm; $1/participant at the door.  Call 910-433-1579 for more information.

Homeschool Series: Tracking 101 at Clark Park Nature Center
Join a park ranger as we learn basic animal tracking skills at Clark Park.  We will traverse the trails looking for clues of animals that live here.  All ages; Jan. 12; 11-Noon; free.  Call 910-433-1579 for more information. 

Nature Story Time at Clark Park Nature Center
Children are invited to Clark Park Nature Center to hear the nature story “Deer Mouse at Old Farm Road” followed by a craft.  Pre-registration required. 8 yrs and younger; Jan. 17; 1-2 pm; free.  Call 910-433-1579 for more information.

Nature Totes - Available for checkout at Clark Park Nature Center
Each tote is designed for children Pre-K-4th grade.  Nature totes contain books, games, lessons, and hands-on activities, art and more.  Totes can be kept for 1 week from the date of check out.  Themes include birds, mammals, gardening, spiders/insects, and amphibians/reptiles.  Free.

Educational Opportunities at Clark Park Nature Center
The rangers at Clark Park Nature Center offer a variety of ranger-guided environmental interpretive programs dealing with natural history, flora and wildlife for organized groups.  A ranger will guide the group through the nature center as they discover the many exhibits and live animals.  These programs are by reservations only.  Outreach programs are also available to schools.  Call 910-433-1579 for more information.
