**Women's Expo

The Second Annual Women's Expo will be held at Coats United Methodist Church in Coats, NC on March 13th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in order to raise money for missions.  There will be many local vendors such as: Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Lia Sophia, Thirty One, Scentsy, Partylite, VJ & Me Bakery, Mary Kay, Avon, and more!  All money raised will go towards one of four mission projects at CUMC: Medical and Dental Outreach in Coats, Homeless Feeding Line in Raleigh, NC, Construction for the poor in SC, and witnessing in Nassau.  Bags of Hope will also be featured at the Expo, which are gently used bags of all types (purses, gym bags, golf bags, make-up bags, etc.) for sale to raise money for these four missions.  Please donate any bags that you no longer use at Coats United Methodist Church.  The Expo is a great time to support those in need living in your backyard while having a blast with other women, gift shopping, having a sweet treat, and rewarding yourself with something from one of the vendors.  All are welcome!  Hope to see you there!

Weatherization Assistance 3/20

Even with spring right around the corner, cold nights and chilly days are still lingering.  With the continuing cold weather, many homeowners may be finding it challenging to keep up with their energy bills.  One solution is to have the home weatherized. Cumberland Community Action Program’s (CCAP)Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) aids in providing weatherization services for traditionally under-resourced residents in Cumberland, Moore, Montgomery, and Sampson Counties.  Weatherization involves conducting a home energy audit to identify the most cost-effective energy improvements that need to be performed on a home, and then making the improvements at no cost to the household.  To learn more about the Weatherization Assistance Program, or to see if you qualify for free home weatherization services, call 910-223-0116 or log on to www.ccap-inc.org/housing.
