South River EMC has a program designed to make your bill paying a little easier. Budget Billing allows you to pay the same amount for your electric bill each month.
How Does Budget Billing Work?
The way Budget Billing works is we take your previous 12 months use and determine the average bill payment. This is the amount we set for your monthly bill. It’s that simple. Now, that doesn’t mean you can just become careless with your electric consumption, because we will still read your meter monthly and record the amount of electricity you use. After the initial sign-up, accounts are reviewed every 12 months. At that time, we compare the amount of electricity used in the year to the amount paid through Budget Billing. If you paid for more than you used, you receive a credit for the difference. If you paid less, we will bill you for the difference.
How Do I Sign Up?
Call our office at 892-8071 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and request Budget Billing. Our customer service department can figure your average and have your new payment amount ready for your next bill!
Can It Get Any Easier?
Actually, yes, you can participate in Budget Billing and have your account drafted. This way you know the exact amount that will be drafted from your bank account each month. Then just relax.
