Operation Round Up Application Deadline Draws Near

Operation Round Up grant applications are once again available from South River EMC’s charitable donations program. The program collects donations from participating South River EMC members through their electric bill to improve the quality of life for our community through individuals, families, schools and nonprofit organizations.

South River EMC’s foundation, the Community Assistance Corporation, primarily gives funds to organizations that are serving the health, safety, education or recreational needs of citizens within our service area or to individuals or families who have fallen on unusually tough times.

Applications are now available in either South River EMC office, located at 17494 U. S. 421 S., Dunn or 6491 Ramsey St., Fayetteville or online at www.sremc.com/roundup.aspx.

Each organization can only receive ONE grant per calendar year, with a maximum amount of $5,000. Individuals and families can only receive ONE grant per five calendar years, not to exceed $1,000. Applications are now available for the March funding cycle. Completed applications are due to the Cooperative headquarters no later than May 17.

For complete information visit www.sremc.com/roundup.aspx or contact Catherine O’Dell, manager of member and public affairs at (910)892-8071 or sremc@sremc.com.

South River EMC is a locally-owned and operated electric cooperative, which provides electric service to 42,000 homes, farms and businesses in parts of Harnett, Cumberland, Sampson, Johnston and Bladen counties.
