				<title><![CDATA[Local 4-H Agencies Receive Funds From Cooperative Golf Tournament]]></title>

<h2 style="text-align: left; margin: 0in 0in 0pt" align="left"><span style="color: black; font-size: 11pt; font-weight: normal; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">For over a century children and young adults have recited and lived by the 4-H pledge: <i>I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service and my health to better living for my club, my community, my country and my world.<o:p></o:p></i></span></h2>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: black"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: black">4-H agents from Harnett, Sampson and <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Cumberland</st1:place></st1:city> counties each received a check for $2,030 from South River EMC at the Cooperative&rsquo;s July meeting of the board of directors. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: black"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: black">The donations were proceeds from the Cooperative&rsquo;s annual 4-H Superball Golf Tournament, which was held on May 6 at Cypress Lakes Golf Course in Hope Mills.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto" class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: black">Over 100 players showed up to lend support for the 4-H as well as enjoy a day on the links. The 18- hole championship course accommodated 27 teams who generously paid to support local 4-H programs. </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto" class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto" class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: black">A four-man team representing ElecTel Cooperative Federal Credit Union took first place honors. The team players were Greg Daniels, Tim Eisel, Scott Saff and Doug Browne. Second place went to the Carolina Dielectric team of Robin Blanton, Monty Monsinger, Reno Coleman and Kyle Blanton. Morris McClelion, Mike Adcock, Dal Langston and Tom Haeck from Central EMC in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Sanford</st1:place></st1:city> took third place honors.</span></p>

<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal">Dorman Cadillac GMC, Inc. graciously provided a truck for a hole-in-one prize, as well as $25 Callaway gift card for each golfer. Upon completion of play, all golfers were treated to a chicken dinner. Half chickens were donated by the House of Raeford and the Mount Olive Collegiate FFA. 4-H volunteers and South River EMC employees provided manpower and desserts.</p>
