Scholarships Available for
Fayetteville SwampDog's Day Camp

Hey, kids, would you like to attend baseball camp with the Fayetteville SwampDogs staff and players?

South River EMC has teamed up with the SwampDogs for the past couple of years to sponsor three day camps for kids ages 5-12. We are also offering four scholarships per camp! Camps will be held at JP Riddle Stadium in Fayetteville. Campers will learn how to become 5-tool ball players from the best coaches and players in Fayetteville. Dates for the 2008 camps are scheduled for June 26, July 15 and August 1.

The camp will feature Head Coach of the SwampDogs Darrell Handelsman, the Manager of the Year in 2000, 2001 and 2004 and his coaching staff. In addition, all of the current Fayetteville SwampDog players will be in attendance to help run the camp.

Campers will all receive a SwampDogs T-shirt, one game ticket, lunch and a day of instruction and fun. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please mail or e-mail (sremc@sremc.com) the following information to our office: student’s name, address, age and daytime phone number. Please place the words “camp scholarship” on the envelope or subject line. Four names will be drawn randomly for each camp. The deadline for the July 15 camp is July 8 and the deadline for the August 1 camp will be July 25. Scholarships only cover the cost of the camp. Parents or guardians are responsible for transportation to and from JP Riddle stadium on the day of the camp.
